O. A. OroyeGreen logistics integrates supply chain management with environment requirements at every stage of the product design process, from raw material selection and supply to production, delivery to the customer, and distribution and transfer processes, to recycling management and reuse after consumption. This study aims at investigating the effect of green logistics and sustainable manpower management on the fast-moving consumer customer goods manufacturing companies in Ado/Odo Ota local government of Ogun State. On the organization sustainability, quantitative research approach was utilized with the aid of a well-structured questionnaire among fast moving consumer goods companies in the study area. The data obtained were analysed using descriptive analysis and inferential statistics of partial least square structural equation model. The finding shows that majority of the films are aware and implemented green logistics and sustainable manpower in their respective organization. The model developed statistically support the null hypothesis which stated that there is a positive significant relationship between sustainable manpower management and green logistics likewise between sustainable manpower management and organization sustainability while the relationship between green logistics and organization is not statistically significant. The study conclude that green logistics is based on functional activities relayed to logistics that encompass production and operations. As a result, logistics may be used as a tool to helps firms manage issues and strike a balance between environmental and economic factors. It is therefore recommended that the government should expedite the adoption of green industry criteria standards that have a wide-ranging effect on the environment through low carbon development (LCD) policy to minimize resource exploitation and sustain economic and social growth through development activities with low greenhouse gas emissions.Item Metadata only Brand Awareness and Customer Care Purchase Intention of Skincare Products (A Study of Skincare Limited Ikeja, Lagos State).(Bells University of Technology, 2023-06-09) EKE, Obike Tony; Dr. Onifade T.A.The study determined the effect of brand awareness on customer purchase intention of users of skin care products. Specifically, the study determines the effect of brand image, brand attachment and branch equity on customers' purchase intention in two local government areas in Lagos state, Ikeja and Agege. The researcher adopted a descriptive research design known as quantitative descriptive design. The instrument of research design was questionnaire for the collected oof data, with a sample size of one hundred and sixty (160) participants, and an equal questionnaire distribution of eighty copies for each of the two local government arears as stated above. Out of the one hundred and sixty (160) questionnaire administered to users of skin care products in Ikeja and Agege local government arears, one hundred and twenty five (125) of them were correctly attended to, representing seventy eight percent (78%) of the one hundred and sixty (160) administered questionnaire while thirty five (35) were unretrieved, representing twenty two percent (22%) of the total number of questionnaire administered. Given that it is higher than the proportion recommend by Revelle & McDonald (2006), that an appropriate response rate ranges from seventy percent (70%) and above, therefore the responded rate of seventy eight percent (78%) got from the questionnaires administered were considered sufficient for data analysis.Item Metadata only Effect of Management by Objective (MOB) on Employee Productivity in Selected Manufacturing Companies in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Ogun State.(Bells University of Technology, 2023-05-30) OLASEINDE, Olabimitan Frederick; Dr. Nkiruka E. IfekwemThis study examined effect of management by objective on employee productivity in selected manufacturing companies in Ado-Odo local government Ogun state. It evaluates the impact of superior-subordinate participation, quantifiable goals, monitoring performance, feedback and reward achievement on employee productivity. Data were collected from primary source using questionnaire, administered to staff of the selected manufacturing company in Ogun state. 100 employees were randomly selected from each company which are Distiller limited, Reckitt Benkeser and Dufil Nigeria. Five hypotheses postulated were tested using Regression analysis. The findings, hypothesis one, superior subordinate participation had significant on employee productivity the r-square is 0.604, 0.587, 0.625 and 0.600 and p<0.05. For hypothesis two, quantifiable goal had significant on employee productivity the r-square is 0.641, 0.563, 0.601 and 0.635 and p<0.05. For hypothesis three, performance monitoring had significant on employee productivity the r-square is 0.699, 0.638, 0.778 and 0.775 and p<0.05. For hypothesis four, effective feedback had significant on employee productivity the r-square is 0.610, 0.613, 0.627 and 0.836 and p<0.05. Lastly hypothesis five, reward achievement and employee productivity the r-square is 0.832, 0.799, 0.882 and 0.869 and p<0.05. From the findings of the study, the study recommended that firms should not relent in their drive towards, exploring decisions so as to enhance productivity. Organizations should improve employee engagement, employee effectiveness, employee efficiency and employee commitment also firms should constantly reward employee for outstanding result will also encourage other to do better.Item Metadata only Effect of Quality Assurance Tools on Product Quality in Food and Beverage Industry in Nigeria.(Bells University of Technology, 2024-03-08) EGUNDEYI, Anthonia Omolola; Prof. G. O. AkanbiProject risk is a factor in success or failure of any project. The strategic management of the risk within the construction company is the issue addressed in this study. The study identifies the risk factors inherent in Building Construction Projects and impact of risk audit in mitigating the effect of the risk factors on quality performance of building construction project5 in Nigeria. Data were collected using questionnaire through stratified and simple random sampling techniques which are rated on 5 Likert scales. Student T-test was used to determine the difference in the identified risks, linear regression analysis for influence of risk management strategies on project success and associated risks on the project success as 215 (69.13%) participants were in Favour of it, 142 (45.66%) respondents agreed on the adverse effect of weather system risk affecting projects success while 176 (59.59%) of the respondents were in Favour of geological system risk. Further investigation claimed that 240 (77.17%) respondents concurred on social risks, 191 (61.41%) for political risk, 269 (86.50%) for financial risks, 96 (30.87%) for manageri8al risk, 174 (55.95%) for health risks and 182 (58.52%) concurred with technical risk. T-test result of 10.975 shows that there is significant difference in potential risk ientifie4f in the study area. It was discovered that 0.7%, 1.5%, 10%, 6.7% and 3.3% of the project success was affected by operational risk, geological system, social, political and financial risks and all are insignificant. More importantly, 219 (70.42%) of respondent accorded identification of risks as the most critical part of the strategy while risk prevention and diversification claimed 191 (61.41%) Reponses 181 (61.41&) for risk transfer and outsourcing, 137 (44.05%) for risk acceptability, 155 (49.84%) for monitoring and control and 172 (55.31%) for employee training and awareness on risks.Item Metadata only Effect of Risk Audit as a Project Risk Management Technique on Quality Performance of Building Construction Project in Nigeria(Bells University of Technology, 2024-02-08) ASADE, Luqman Adekunle; Dr. A. AkanbiIn the ever -revolving sphere of software development, managing projects to successful closure without missing deadlines and delivering the proposed results remains a critical challenge for most software development organizations. Attrition has been identified as one of the most significant factors affecting projects outcomes, specifically software development projects. This study investigated the existence of attrition, the effects of the attrition on projects closure of software development companies in Lagos Nigeria and recommended the adoption and practice of innovative strategies to efficiently manage attrition. The study utilized simple Random Sampling technique to select 100 respondents from the population size of 315. To gather required data needed for the research, the4 study distributed 100 copies of a well-structured questionnaire to our targeted respondents who were mainly employees od employers of software development firms in Lagos. Of the 100 copies of the questionnaire that were administered in two batches, 82 were retrieved, but preliminary checks revealed that 76 were properly answered so were deemed fit for use while the remaining 6 were not answered properly, so were not considered during the analysis. The data gathered was analyzed using Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient (PPMCC). Findings showed that attrition poses devastating challenges to software development projects. These challenges includes delay in project timelines, increased project cost, loss of domain expertise and disruption in teams' cohesion. The outcome of the research also revealed the top three major factors causing attrition as lack of adequate compensation or benefits, lack of opportunities. The study concluded by recommending the adoption and practices of innovative strategies for efficiently managing attrition despite the challenges it poses to software development companies and such projects to ensure improved project performance and successful completion.Item Metadata only Effects of material management on project performance in construction industry(Bells University of Technology, 2024-03-25) HAMEED, Hakeem Adewale; Prof. Olusegun G. The study population was targeted at construction industries using Lagos state as a case study. The data for this study was derived from primary and secondary source. The study sample size was determined using Yamane's formula with 268 respondents. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of material management on project performance in construction industry. To achieve the aim, the following objectives were proposed: to evaluate the extent to which material management effects the performance of construction companies" delivery success in study area; to examine the effect of materials transportation on project delivery success of construction companies in the study area; to investigate the effect of material storage on project delivery success of construction companies in the study area. Linear regression analysis was used to test the study hypotheses. A.The study examined employee engagement and retention in selected food and beverage industries in Ado-Odo Ota LGA, Ogun state. The specific objectives of study are to; determine the effect of loyalty on employee retention in the food and beverage industry in Ado Odo Ota and to ascertain the influence of trust on employee retention in the food and beverage industry in Ado Odo ota. This study adopted a survey research design; data were collected through the use of questionnaire. The total population of the study was 1355 comprising of the staff of De- united foods industries limited, Cway foods and beverages Nig Co Limited and intercontinental Distillers Limited. The members of staff were randomly selected from the production, Marketing/Sales, Accounting/Finance and Administrative departments. The sample size of 309 was determined using the Taro Yamane's formula and further stratified using Boyle's formula. The findings indicate that the coefficient of the ordinal regression on loyalty was (1.4443) and the p value was .000. This means that loyalty is positively signed and statistically significant at 5% level of significance. It also means that an increase in loyalty results to an increase in employee retention (x=0.61, p<0.005). Again, the finding indicates that client of the ordinal retrogression on commitment was (.946) and the p- value was 0.000. This means that commitment leads to an increase in employee retention (x=0.56, p<0.005). Lastly, the findings also indicates that the co-efficient of the ordinal regression on Trust was (686) and the p-value was .000. This means that Trust is positively signed and statistically significant at 5% level of significance. OkaforThe study examined the effect of human resource management practices (welfare, recruitment and selection, human resource planning and employee empowerment) on job satisfaction, all with a view to ascertaining the relationship between human resource management practices and job satisfaction. Primary data were used in this study, and the research adopted a descriptive research design. Two hundred and ninety questionnaires as obtained by the simple random sampling techniques were administered in the selected breweries in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government area of Ogun state. Two hundred and twenty-nine were correctly attended to, while sixty-one were effective. In analyzing the questionnaire, data analytical procedure of frequency tables and percentages were used as descriptive statistics. Inferential statistics of Pearson correlation was used to test the four hypotheses in the study. The study findings established that there is a positive relationship between welfare and job satisfaction at 0.01 level The findings also established that there is no positive correlation between recruitment and selection and job satisfaction at 0.469 level. The findings also indicated positive relationship established between human resource planning and job satisfaction at p=0.064 level. Furthermore, the study established that there is a positive relationship between employee empowerment and job satisfaction at 0.01level. It can be concluded that for employees' job satisfaction to be high, the management needs to focus more on human resources managements practices adopted in the organization.Item Metadata only Impact of Emerging Technologies on Urban Transportation Systems in Lagos Island, Nigeria.(Bells University of Technology, 2024-06-09) LADEJOBI, Paul Adebowale; Dr. (Mrs.) M. OgunbiyiLagos Island, situated in Nigeria's largest metropolis, faces significant transportation challenges due to persistent traffic jams, a deficient public transportation system, the internet of things (IoT), Artificial intelligence (AI), Electric Vehicles (EVs), Autonomous Vehicles (AVs), and intelligent infrastructure. The study was conducted using questionnaires with sampled interviews of commuters, transporters, and staff of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) and Lagos State Traffic Management (LASTMA).Descriptive Statistics platforms like Uber, Bolt, Gokada, GPS, an intelligent traffic monitoring system, Lagos Connect MI fare cards, Integrated Mobility Platforms (IMP), data analytics, and AI were not the most popular emerging technologies in urban transportation systems in the study area. Most respondents (53.2%) preferred BRT as their preferred urban transport method, while only 40 out of 109 preferred LAG Ride. The study's finding reveals that the impact of emerging technologies on urban transportation in Lagos Island was seen as excellent by 62.4% of the sampling population. In comparison, 20.2% and 9.2% believed it was fair and poor, respectively. Most (64.2%) respondents' rate current urban transportation in Lagos Island fairly, while 25.7% see it as excellent. There is also the availability of policy guidelines regarding travel information in Lagos Island, but 31.2 % are not aware of any policies. The safety and security of urban transportation in Lagos Islan d is fair by 50.5% of respondents, while 47.7% find modern urban transportation fairly accessible. G. AkanbiNumerous office -based organization have seen a sudden transition to remote employment as a result of the covid- 19 epidemic. The objective of this research is to investigate the impact of remote work on the performance and employee engagement of office workers from three different generation organizations. This research examined the ways in which workers manage their work routines and home activities in order to achieve maximum performance in their professional assignment. In, addition, the Nigeria energy infrastructure has been afflicted by several challenges, including low gas pressure, grid restrictions, and system collapse. Consequently, obtaining precise statistics on this matter is not possible. The research examined the impact of remote work participation on workers' performance. Data was obtained from 286 respondents who are workers of three chosen energy organization in Lagos and Kogi, Nigeria. The data was analyzed using the Pearson Chi Square statistical approach. The findings of this research indicates that remote work is strongly correlated with workers' problem-solving skills, job quality, time management abilities, and productivity in the energy businesses examined in Nigeria. A. OyawaleThe uncertainties and complexities of a construction project often cause differences in what has been planned and its execution in the field, resulting in time and cos overruns. The successful implementation of a construction project is target and expectation of the project owner and contractor, who have an effective time with a budget that is according to plan. This research work is to investigate the factors causing time and cost overruns in construction projects to provide solutions to the problems created by the effect of time and cost overrun on the quality performance construction projects in Lagos state. Research works on his topic have been done by many researchers, some of whose works have been reviewed in my proceeding sections. However, the extent to which these phenomena has affected quality performance of construction projects in Lagos, Nigeria, have not been adequately explored. More than 15 literatures which have covered similar topics were reviewed. Primary data was collected through questionnaires survey to the relevant stakeholders in the industry. Two sets of questionnaires were administered to professionals and stakeholders on project bases, and it covered 98 and 89 construction projects in Lagos state respectively. The reliability of the data from the questionnaire was tested with Cronbach's' alpha. These data were processed and analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics- ANOVA and test of hypothesis. Cronbach's alpha of 0.96 was got which signifies high reliability of the data. This research has identified and ranked top ten factors with high relative importance and severity indices (ranging from 0.74 to 0.60 and 74.29% to 58.57% respectively) that has triggered time and cost overrun in construction projects in Lagos state.Item Metadata only The Impact of Information Technology on Organisational Productivty In The Aviation Sector In Nigeria(Bells University of Technology, 2024-03-12) NZERIBE, Chinonso; Prof. F.
