Living Spring Housing Estate Ajah: Perception of Minimalist Strategies for Housing in Lagos Metripolis.

Minimalist architecture strives to convey the message simplicity. The basic geometric forms, simple materials and the repetition of structures represent a sense of order and essential quality. The movement of natural light and ventilation in such buildings reveals simple and clean spaces that positively influence the quality of life of its occupants. The adoption of minimalism in form of compacts housing&adopting the lifestyle of living by necessity rather than luxury are perfect solutions to the ever-growing need of affordable and comfortable housing rapidly urbanizing areas experiencing housing deficit. This study assessed users' perception of selected residential development in Lagos state to providing relevant information on the practice and implementation of minimalist design principles in ongoing housing development.
