Heritage Center, Badagry; Lagos State: Assessment Of Influence of Architecture On Tourism

This study examines the critical role of architecture in shaping tourism, focusing on how aesthetic appeal, iconic landmarks, and distinctive architectural styles influence tourists' perceptions and experiences. Employing content analysis, documentation analysis, and design techniques, the research identifies ten (10) key architectural elements that act as tourism magnets: landscaping and green spaces, cultural and heritage elements, cohesive urban planning, building design and style, accessibility and signage, interactive and interpretive spaces, sustainability and eco-friendly features, innovative use of technology, recreation and leisure spaces, and safety and security measures.The finding indicate that the heritage museum adequately incorporates landscaping and green spaces, interactive and interpretive spaces, sustainability and eco-friendly features, innovative use of technology, recreation and leisure spaces, and safety and security measures.
