Item Metadata only Application of Strategic Management in Domestic Airlines Operations in Nigeria:a Case Study of Aerocontractors Airline(Bells University of Technology, Ota, 2019-09-16) BELLO, Ahmed Adamu; Dr. Akin AdeoyeEfficient and sustainable transportation systems are quite central to the development of a nation's economy, several attempts have been made to improve the private sector participation in the air transport operations in Nigeria in the last fifty years. many of them become defunct within a few years of operations. This study compares the defunct airlines in Nigeria with the ones in developed nations like the united kingdom and the united states of America. The operations of the Aero contractors has been presented as a case study in the application of management by objective strategies and principles, the airline has gone into critical operation and has been placed in receivership but with prudent management through the application of strategic management by objective, the airline is able to return into full operation and is now on the path to complete recovery. Date-sets including review of video materials obtained from the airline, interviews and questionnaire were collected from administration and review of published records. Results from the analysis show that the application of strategic MBO is the main impetus that has created the driving force behind the airline and also it indicates from the survey conducted across various industry stakeholders that these same principle can be advocated for application across industry to salvage other airline that may find themselves in similar circumstances.Item Metadata only The Impact of Customer Expectations on E-commerce in Logistics and Supply Chain Operators.(Bells University of Technology, Ota, 2024-07-21) ADEBIYI, Adekola Micheal; Mr. A. O. Oluwaji.The phrase "e-commerce", or electronic commerce, refers to the buying and selling of goods and services using the internet. It encompasses a wide range of business ventures, including online shopping, online auctions, and electronic markets. These astounding advances have not only helped e-commerce enterprises access a larger customer base, but they have also improved business outcomes and revenues for online shops. The expansion of the Nigerian economy has altered consumer purchasing strategy and buying options. People are increasingly using the internet to transact business, or internet business, is not new in Nigeria, the market has just begun to grow quickly due to strong customer demand. This study is dictated by the need to determine the best ways to handle consumer expectations in connection to e-commerce usage in supply chain and logistics operations on e-commerce platforms in Nigeria. The study assessed and administered questionnaire to a section of the work force divided into customer expectations, customer loyalty, customer satisfaction and customer brand loyalty in Konga, an e-commerce platform located in Nigeria and with its headquarters in Lagos.Item Metadata only Investigation of the Effects of Outbound Transportation Distruption Risk on Buisness Performance in Manufacturing Companies in Apapa, Lagos State, NIgeria.(Bells University of Technology, 2024-03-21) ILORI, Oladele Eyitayo; Prof. G. O. AkanbiSeaport congestion, bureaucratic bottleneck, equipment failures, and employee disputes are major causes of supply chain disruption affecting effective performance of the ports in Nigeria. Outbound transportation disruption risks and its impacts on business performance have received less consideration in previous related research studies that has been carried out. It is against this background that this study examined the effects of outbound transportation disruption risk on business performance of manufacturing companies in Apapa, Lagos state. The research method employed in conducting this study are the descriptive research design and quantitative research approach with data obtained from both primary and secondary sources. The total study population are employees of functional manufacturing companies registered with manufacturer's association on Nigeria (M.A.N) Apapa branch and located within Apapa metropolis. Seven companies were selected, and 194 questionnaires were administered to employees within the selected manufacturing companies. Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the survey instrument measures are 0.701, 0.621 and 0.691 whilst descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used to analyze the data collected.Item Metadata only An Assessment of Solid Waste Transportation System in Ado-Odo\Ota Local Government Area, Ogun State, Nigeria.(Bells University of Technology, 2019-09-16) OGUNBIYI, Margaret Emem; Dr.M.Kehinde OnifadeAdequate transportation of solid waste is one of the major challenges of waste managers in Nigeria because of inherent factors ranging from dearth of transport infrastructure to poor attitude of residents. Data were collected through the aid of questionaries, personal observation, visitation to some villages and town as well as dumpsites. The questionaries were divided into two parts: household respondents and solid waste management staff. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics, factor analysis and item analysis. The communalities and rotated matrix showed that factors one (waste collection method) and three (method of waste disposal) had the highest number of the household related variables while factors one (Environmental and frequency of collection) and two (Environmental\vehicle challenges) had the highest number of waste management staff related variables. Based on these findings, the study concluded that attitudinal change on the part of the household respondents, government intervention on road maintenance, empowerment of the cart pushers, and adequate maintenance of PSP vehicles will go a long way in reducing in heaps of refuse and indiscriminate dumping of solid waste in the entire vicinity of Ado-Odo\Ota Local Government area in Ogun State, Nigeria.
