dc.description.abstractA housing estate is a group of houses and buildings built together to meet the social cultural and technical needs of the community. This study looks broadly at the housing challenges of informal settlements, the causes and provides practicable solutions for the Ugbomro Community. An informal settlement is a place where people reside without housing policies or regulations by governing bodies. The growth of informal settlements, slums is a global phenomenon and should be treated with a universal approach. Lack of land, urban migration are some causes of this.Growth of informal settlements is a common feature of cities of most countries.The purpose of this thesis is to propose a housing estate that will solve the problem for Ugbomro Community.
