dc.description.abstract | This study critically examines the characteristics of architects and the type of office practices prevalent in Nigeria. The research was driven by the need to understand how the personal attributes of principal architects influence the nature of their practice and how these practices shape the country's architectural landscape. The study adopted a quantitative approach utilizing a structured questionnaire as the primary data collection tool. The data collected focuses on variables like; the demographic characteristics of the architects, their professional background, years of experience, educational qualification, and approach to architectural practices. The questionnaires were distributed to architects across architectural firms in Abuja, Nigeria which revealed that most principal architects are over 45 years old, predominantly male, with mostly a master's degree. | |
