Abstract

The built environment is significantly influenced by architecture and has a substantial impact on human experience. Architects have a crucial role in designing spaces that cater to users needs, enhance their well being and improve the overall quality of life by creating unique experiences in the built environment. This study explores the notion of improving human experience through architecture and investigates how architects can create spaces that positively affect users. A qualitative research approach, including an extensive literature review and case studies, were employed to identify the most effective methods for producing human-centered architecture that emphasizes the importance of human-centered design, the use of natural light, Colours, materials, and other design principles in developing spaces that promote well being and enhance human experience. The results have important implications for architects, interior designers, urban policymakers, and other building environment professionals who want to prioritize the human experience in the built environment. Ultimately, this study concludes that integrating architectural phenomenology through human-centred design principles can enhance the quality of experiences for all users of the built environment.
