Innoson Automamobile Center, Sagamu, Ogun State :Assessment of Daylighting in Selected Automobile Centres in Southwest, Nigeria.

In an effort to a create a more sustainable living environment, daylighting design now widely used in modern construction. Sunlight or artificial light sources are both acceptable. When there is an abundance of natural light, people tend to use commercial buildings the most .Designing for daylighting requires a through understanding of daylighting strategies since illumination is crucial in an area like an automobile centre. The aim of this research is to assess daylighting in selected automobile centers in Southwest Nigerian .To achieve the aim and objectives of the study, questionnaires were distributed at random to building construction profession (including architects and town planners), building users and employees at automobile centers in the study area. The study's conclusion s showed that adequate daylighting can serve as an alternative to orientation are the main determinates of daylighting performance .The study concludes that despite the wide variety of developed and commercially available daylight=ting systems that have ben reported, their applications have been constrained by a death of studies through understanding of opening sizes and position be taken into accounts during the design and construction of automobile centers, while optimal building orientation on the site would greatly influence the quantity of daylighting that would be admitted into such building.
