Core Competence and Competitive Advantages: A Stage of Pharmaceutical Industry in Lagos State, Nigeria.

The study examined the impact of core competencies on competitive advantage in pharmaceutical industry in Lagos State, southwest, Nigeria. The broad objective was to investigate the effect of core competencies on competitive advantages in pharmaceutical industry looking at toothpaste brands. Managers, at various levels and other employees in five pharmaceutical companies were selected using simple random sampling. A sample size of 182 from a sample population of 333 managers and other employees of the selected pharmaceutical industry was used for this analysis. The collected data for the study was analyzed using descriptives statistics. While inferential statistics : simple regression coefficient, chi-square test and one factor ANOVA were used to test the hypothesis.
