| dc.description.abstract | Extant studies exist in Nigeria and other parts of the world on architectural education and major problems plaguing it in relation to architectural practices. Some of the problems are influence of the environment on delivery of the curriculum, inability of graduates to fit properly into professional practice, possible extinction of architectural education because of reluctance to adopt to changing technology and technical training and 21st century challenges of the industry. These problems are threats to qualities of products of the present architectural; education system. It is therefore necessary to examine the present system with a view of reconciling it with demands of now and the future. Hence, this study examined architectural education to determine its influence on sustainable practice among architects in Nigeria. Objectives of the study were to determine the indicators of sustainable architectural practice in Nigeria, assess impact of curriculum, teaching methods, learning/understanding, and influence of architectural education.Mixed method approach was employed (quantitative and qualitative). | |
