Item Metadata only Museum of Traditional Artefacts Ogbomoso: Advancing Challenges in Artefacts(Bells University of Technology, 2109-08-12) AKANJI, OPeyemi Oladeji; Dr. FakoladeA Museum is an institution that cares for (conserves) a collection of artifacts and other objects of scientific, artistic: cultural or historical importance and makes them available for public viewing challenges in artifact preservation in museums, it is glaring that less importance is attached to the preservation of artifacts in Ogbomoso.This gives raise to the research on care and conservation of artifacts which will help increasing awareness of the people to attach importance to establishing a museum for the purpose of conservation.The purpose of this thesis is to propose a traditional museum that will solve challenges in artefacts preservation.In the design of a museum, it is ways depending on the level of psychology of the visitors.Fountains and statues could be positioned strategically within the museum premises, coupled with well landscaped and laid out site to make the environment scene Sculpture could be made on the building especially on the approach to make the building depict what it is meant for.Item Metadata only Impact of Architectural Education On Sustainable Practice(Bells University of Technology, 2021-05-12) ALABI, Oluwadamilola Ajoke; Prof. Arayela OlatundeExtant studies exist in Nigeria and other parts of the world on architectural education and major problems plaguing it in relation to architectural practices. Some of the problems are influence of the environment on delivery of the curriculum, inability of graduates to fit properly into professional practice, possible extinction of architectural education because of reluctance to adopt to changing technology and technical training and 21st century challenges of the industry. These problems are threats to qualities of products of the present architectural; education system. It is therefore necessary to examine the present system with a view of reconciling it with demands of now and the future. Hence, this study examined architectural education to determine its influence on sustainable practice among architects in Nigeria. Objectives of the study were to determine the indicators of sustainable architectural practice in Nigeria, assess impact of curriculum, teaching methods, learning/understanding, and influence of architectural education.Mixed method approach was employed (quantitative and qualitative).
