The specific objectives of study are to; determine the effect of loyalty on employee retention in the food and beverage industry in Ado Odo Ota and to ascertain the influence of trust on employee retention in the food and beverage industry in Ado Odo ota. This study adopted a survey research design; data were collected through the use of questionnaire. The total population of the study was 1355 comprising of the staff of De- united foods industries limited, Cway foods and beverages Nig Co Limited and intercontinental Distillers Limited. The members of staff were randomly selected from the production, Marketing/Sales, Accounting/Finance and Administrative departments. The sample size of 309 was determined using the Taro Yamane's formula and further stratified using Boyle's formula. The findings indicate that the coefficient of the ordinal regression on loyalty was (1.4443) and the p value was .000. This means that loyalty is positively signed and statistically significant at 5% level of significance. It also means that an increase in loyalty results to an increase in employee retention (x=0.61, p<0.005). Again, the finding indicates that client of the ordinal retrogression on commitment was (.946) and the p- value was 0.000. This means that commitment leads to an increase in employee retention (x=0.56, p<0.005). Lastly, the findings also indicates that the co-efficient of the ordinal regression on Trust was (686) and the p-value was .000. This means that Trust is positively signed and statistically significant at 5% level of significance. This shows that trust causes employee retention to increase (x=0.51, p<0.005).
