(Bells University of Technology, 2023-06-09) EKE, Obike Tony; Dr. Onifade T.A.
The study determined the effect of brand awareness on customer purchase intention of users of skin care products. Specifically, the study determines the effect of brand image, brand attachment and branch equity on customers' purchase intention in two local government areas in Lagos state, Ikeja and Agege. The researcher adopted a descriptive research design known as quantitative descriptive design. The instrument of research design was questionnaire for the collected oof data, with a sample size of one hundred and sixty (160) participants, and an equal questionnaire distribution of eighty copies for each of the two local government arears as stated above. Out of the one hundred and sixty (160) questionnaire administered to users of skin care products in Ikeja and Agege local government arears, one hundred and twenty five (125) of them were correctly attended to, representing seventy eight percent (78%) of the one hundred and sixty (160) administered questionnaire while thirty five (35) were unretrieved, representing twenty two percent (22%) of the total number of questionnaire administered. Given that it is higher than the proportion recommend by Revelle & McDonald (2006), that an appropriate response rate ranges from seventy percent (70%) and above, therefore the responded rate of seventy eight percent (78%) got from the questionnaires administered were considered sufficient for data analysis.
