    Kingdom Casino, Abuja, Nigeria: Crowd Control Strategies In Recreational Facilities

    As a form of recreational activities, casinos offer a variety of games, which includes gambling, card games, and slot machines amongst others. The casino centers or building is prone to crowd. The study aimed at the implementation of crowd control strategies in the design in Wuye, Abuja, Nigeria. The specific objectives are to identity the available crowd controls strategies in casinos; examine the effectiveness of crowd control strategies adopted in casinos in Abuja; determine the effect of crowd control strategies in casinos and propose a casino in Wuye, Abuja that will employ effective crowd control strategies. The data analysis technique adopted are content analysis, descriptive analysis, and architectural design. From the analysis, the study revealed that crowd control strategies identified are; signage, provision of entry and exit points, audible alarms, visual alarms, floor direction, and restricted areas. In addition, the study indicated that crowd control strategies adopted in the casino are effective. Further, the findings showed that crowd control strategies in the casino have effects on the users of the casino.
