    Seyi Makinde Football Academy Ibadan: Users Perception of Functionality of Spaces in Selected Football Academies in Nigeria.

    Sports participation is growing day by day and it is verified through various research by scholars. Users of sports academies/facilities have limited functionality and no open spaces to carry out these sporting activities. This study looked into current state sports academies/facilities, improving sporting activities by improving sport facilities and examined the characteristics of the users perception of the functionality of spaces in football academics in the study area and designed a functional football academy. The study carried out thorough quantitative analysis, structured interviews and taking of photographs of the study area for detailed evaluation. The finding in the study showed that users of sports academies/facilities were unhappy with the overall standard of the sports academy. Some users were also not satisfied with the condition of the functional spaces and the existence of a maintenance culture.
