    Post-Occupancy Evaluation of Library Buildings in Selected Tertiary Institutions in Ogun State, Nigeria.

    This is a post-occupancy evaluation study of academic library buildings in Ogun state. It examined the design features and architectural elements of the library buildings with regards to the user needs and expectations. Being survey research, the study employed the quantitative approach using structured questionnaire tools to obtain relevant data. The questionnaire consisted of 5 sections with close-ended questions related to the technical, functional and behavioral performance elements and overall satisfaction with the library buildings. Analysis of the findings were done using descriptive statistical tools like simple frequency distribution (SFD), Weighted Mean Score (WMS) and Relative Effectiveness Index (REI) and inferential statistical tools like principal component factor analysis (PCF), Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Regression Analysis. Using a population of 2730 representing the effective seating capacity of libraries of selected tertiary institutions, a sample size of 553 i.e. (20.25%) was obtained having adopted Slovin's formula at 90% confidence level and 0.1 sample error (e) and a response rate of 93.13%.
