Every household needs energy for cooking, lighting, comfort and entertainment. This needed energy is not easily achieved because of the inefficiency or epileptic service by our various energy agencies. In our society and neighborhood today, poop people must go far into the bush to gather wood& sticks for the purpose of cooking. However, this does not come easily without hardship. In order to proffer solution to this enigmatic problem, an alternative energy source has been considered, a renewable energy is a solution proffered. Nations all over the world are making research into renewable energy because of the cost of the fossils fuels, climate change problem, ozone layer depletion and greenhouse effect. The aim of the thesis is to produce synthetic biogas\Natural gas, using gasification method. An household can use it for cooking and power generation, by running power generating plant with the gas. The materials for this experimental production are, wood chips, modified fluidized bed, Arduino microprocessor, K-type thermocouple temperature sensor. Reading of the temperature at which cracking of the gas takes place, usually between 400oC and 800oC, A graph of various temperatures reading taken against the energy content of the gas the (Mcpdt) enthalpy was taken. It was found the graphs were in most cases straight line but decline occurs above 800c. A simulation carried out confirms this result.enEnergyDissertation
